Bud said his mother almost killed his ambition when he was a kid. He asked her what was the difference in the food they ate and what rich people ate.
She explained, “Oh, we eat the same food. They just have more gravies and sauces than we do.”
He was disgusted. They had gravy all the time: gravy and biscuits for breakfast, lunch, and supper, mashed potatoes and gravy, gravy and biscuits for snacks. Why in the world would rich people want to eat more gravies and sauces than they did?
What is Ramen? Never heard of it

It’s a dry noodle dinner with weaning packet you mix with boiling water. Very cheap and filling.

It is tough being a kid. They try to figure out how the older people think and more often than not, it is confusing for them as they have their own thoughts on how things should be. I like gravy but my doctor does not like me liking gravy. He’s odd that way :o)

Because of being forced to eat milk & flour (sawmill) gravy as a child, my wife can’t stand it. She makes beef, chicken, turkey gravy for me–never tastes it.

My husband and his sister refuse to eat Cheerios and Ramen noodles for having eaten them so often at home.
I love gravy 🙂

What would college kids eat without Ramen?

Since they’re both in college in their 40s, they eat pretty well 😉
