Here we go again, sitting in line to get taxes done. Somehow, i have never learned look forward to this. Most people look only slightly more nervous than when they are waiting for their endoscopy.

Hey Linda,
I know, shafted whichever way right? It never gets any easier to accept.
I think we should all work self-employed and pay our taxes to a good accountant to maximise our incomes like the grossly wealthy companies of the world, and avoid paying tax pretty much altogether. If they paid their share fairly then we wouldn’t have to pay so much to compensate. No doubt they pay to ensure they don’t have to.
An example….
Exxon received $600 million annual tax breaks. In 2011, Exxon paid just 13 per cent in taxes. The company paid no taxes to the U.S. federal government in 2009, despite 45.2 billion record profits. It paid $15 billion in taxes, but none in federal income tax. (https://thinkprogress.org/exxon-chevron-made-71-billion-profit-in-2012-as-consumers-paid-record-gas-prices-ba7d5e1b8822#.b9dvo4iic)
Perhaps Exon need an endoscopy.
Hoping all is well in all ways.
Namaste

Hey Linda,
They are evil! Their arrogance and deceit so blatant and yet the people of the world seem to do little to insist on change. It’s a sad sorry state of affairs. And this is just the top of the iceberg.
One gets the feeling our world stand on the edge of change. Whether positive or not change will happen, it’s just a matter of time.
May I leave a link to a documentary film. I have cited it before elsewhere and feel there is value in promoting its merits here. I would ask all your readers with interest in the current shoddy shape of our World to watch it.
BBC have the following description of the film showing on thei: site
We live in a time of great uncertainty and confusion. Events keep happening that seem inexplicable and out of control. Donald Trump, Brexit, the War in Syria, the endless migrant crisis, random bomb attacks. And those who are supposed to be in power are paralysed – they have no idea what to do.
This film is the epic story of how we got to this strange place. It explains not only why these chaotic events are happening – but also why we, and our politicians, cannot understand them.
It shows that what has happened is that all of us in the West – not just the politicians and the journalists and the experts, but we ourselves – have retreated into a simplified, and often completely fake version of the world. But because it is all around us we accept it as normal.
But there is another world outside. Forces that politicians tried to forget and bury forty years ago – that then festered and mutated – but which are now turning on us with a vengeful fury. Piercing though the wall of our fake world.
It’s a long 2 hour investment but worth the effort I think.
A thought on the photograph shown. The window on the white long wall. Is it a mirror or a window. If the former it feels like the public are sat being watched through a one way mirror. Like in an investigation room perhaps at a police station. Weird 🙂
Thank you for the fine hospitality whilst visiting.
Take care in all ways always.
Namaste 🙂

We’ve always done our own taxes. Last year, it got complicated, took until summer to resolve with the IRS. It was a noble fight.
