I am one happy mama. My kids both gave me gift cards for flowers for Mother’s Day. I loaded up today. All the crazy old ladies pushing carts around in the garden department were jealous of me. I will be knee deep in dirt tomorrow and happy as a dead pig in the sunshine. Now I wish I’d had a few more kids. I might hock something and go back to get some more stuff. Thanks, kids.

What is it about dirt and the outdoors that “grounds me”, so???? We can’t have too much in the way of greenery this year (because of the blasted draught!), but I planted my tomatoes in my EARTH BOX. Hope you had a good Mother’s Day….Sounds like you did! 🙂

No, but I wanted to. Too wet. May get it later today. Today I’m going to raid my son’s neighbor’s back yard. He lost his house to bank and said we could have all the flowers.

I am in Louisiana. We had fresh strawberry rhubarb pie yesterday. Can’t grow rhubarb in Louisiana . Too hot. Have to buy it. Getting about a pint of strawberries a day now.

Well our rhubarb is ready to be picked and do we love our rhubarb! We won’t have many strawberries this year because we just have one plant, at the moment, and it is in a new patch. I have the tomatoes, peppers and cantaloupe planted to plant next.
