Joke of the Day

A little boy got lost at the YMCA and found himself in the women’s locker room. When he was spotted, the room burst into shrieks, with ladies grabbing towels and running for cover. The little boy watched

in amazement and then asked, ‘What’s the matter, haven’t you ever seen a little boy before?’

Told to me by my Irish grandmother more than 30 years ago. (Best told in an Irish brogue.)

It was a hot, sticky summer morning and Paddy decided to go to early Mass before it gets too hot, so he tells his wife he will be back in an hour.

Sure enough, he comes back in an hour, but with 2 black eyes!

“Paddy,” she says, “You said you were going to church and here you been fightin!”

“No, Mother, I did go to church.”

“Well, what happened to you?”

“Well, you know it was so hot and Mrs. O’Leary was in the pew in front of me. When we got up from the sermon, I noticed that her dress was stuck up in her crack and I thought it looked terribly uncomfortable so I reached forward and pulled it out for her. She turned around and smacked me right in the eye.”

“Well, Paddy, that explains how you got one black eye, but what about the other?”

“Well, I thought, if that is the way she feels about it, I would put it back in.”

  4. First off I would like to say excellent blog!
I had a quick question that I’d like to ask if you don’t mind.
I was interested to find out how you center yourself and clear
your thoughts before writing. I’ve had a difficult time clearing my mind in getting my thoughts out.
I do take pleasure in writing but it just seems like the first 10
to 15 minutes are usually lost just trying to figure out how to begin. Any recommendations or tips?

    Appreciate it!

  5. I hardly create remarks, however i did some searching
and wound up here Joke of the Day | Nutsrok. And I actually do have a
couple of questions for you if you do not mind. Is it just me or does it give the impression like
a few of the comments appear like they are left by brain dead individuals?
😛 And, if you are writing on other places, I would like to follow anything fresh
you have to post. Would you list of every
one of your communal sites like your linkedin profile,
    Facebook page or twitter feed?

  7. Have you ever thought about adding a little bit more than just your articles?
I mean, what you say is important and everything. However think about if
you added some great graphics or video clips to give your posts more, “pop”!
Your content is excellent but with pics and videos, this site could definitely
be one of the greatest in its field. Fantastic blog!

  15. Hey Linda,

The jokes just keep coming and get better and better, and the smile never leaves this happy face 😀 Wonderful! I tried reading the first joke out loud in an Irish accent, not sure if I nailed it, but the act of trying was a giggle all of its own.

The second joke is a cracker that had me in stitches, and I’ve passed it on to friends for their enjoyment as well. There’s nothing better than spreading a little happiness. Which reminds me…thanks very much for following my Blog, welcome aboard – you’ll always be very welcome. Bring your stories and your infectious humour, both will find a happy home 🙂

To leave you with a smile… an acquaintance was present at the local church the other Sunday morning on a bright and sunny day, and had opportunity to chat with the clergyman who remarked on the number of new faces in the congregation. Unsure of who was who, he asked my friend, ‘Was that Fanny Green sitting in the front pew?’ To which my friend cheekily replied, ‘No vicar, it was just the way light was shining through the stained glass window’ 😀

Have a wonderful afternoon. Thanks again for the smiles!

    Namaste
